Discovering new ideas about music is Sean's true passion. Empowering others to follow their own path in music fulfills him and gives him great joy. At the Music Post, he's found a home where he continues to pursue these interests and can keep bringing music into people's lives. He came to the Music Post after working for 18 years at Colonial Williamsburg where he interpreted 18th century music on the violin, fife, mandolin, and Irish flute.
Earlier in his performance career, Sean played for such notable people as President Bush, Queen Elizabeth, and was a member of two performing groups in 2008 for Switzerland's annual Basel Tattoo.
In 2017, Sean completed his Bachelor's in Music at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts with a capstone recital of original and arranged chamber ensemble pieces. He is also a recipient of the Five College Ethnomusicology Certificate--a program that spans the colleges of Hampshire, Amherst, Mount Holyoke, Smith, and the University of Massachusetts to study the ways in which human culture and music grow together. While you are here at the Music Post with him, he hopes to show you how special and enjoyable it is to play music.
