This year we are launching a new activity for our piano students called Piano Palooza. This is a planning event where students will come to get their leveling up binders, music for the Halloween & Holiday recital, figure out repertoire for Federation and Guild for 2024, and spend time with students in the same level as them. This collaborative opportunity is important for students to feel connected and motivated for the upcoming school year. Our intention is to set our students up for success and get them excited for the next level of music.
Each student will be assigned to a level by their instructor. Each level will meet on a specific day for approx 3 hours at The Music Post.
Level 6 and up | Monday, July 31st from 4:30-7:30pm Level 4-5 | Tuesday, August 1st from 4:30-7:30pm Primary 1-2 | Wednesday, August 2nd from 4:30-7:30pm Level 1-3 | Thursday, August 3rd from 4:30-7:30pm
*Please note no piano lessons will take place this particular week as we expect all piano students to attend the Piano Palooza event.
What should students expect?
Students are going to leave feeling motivated and challenged to accomplish the next level of music! Students will leave with their repertoire for the upcoming months picked out, practice challenges in hand, and evaluations complete to know exactly where they need to focus their attention.
During the 3 hours together we'll...
Build friendships with fellow musicianships sharing pizza and fun for the first 30 minutes
Listen to and choose repertoire with instructors Ms Julie & Ms Lauren for 60 minutes
Complete theory evaluations and challenges with Ms Leya & Ms Louanna for 60 minutes
Wrap up and receive new binders and practice incentives for 30 minutes
What should students bring?
Students should come prepared
Wearing Pajamas
Have their music bag with previous music books, music binder, and music notebook
Come hungry! We'll be eating cheese and pepperoni pizza together!
We can't wait to see you at The Music Post's Piano Palooza 2023! Should you have any questions please email admin@musicpoststudio.com
* Please note this is a pilot program for piano students of The Music Post. If this is successful and aids in cohesiveness for students we will launch this for voice, violin, flute, and other instrumentalists in 2024.
